Travelling Morocco One Step At A Time

Where to begin.

My favourite market so far in Morocco was here in Meknes. Full of local people doing their clothes shopping, buying their spices and eating ice cream. It is full of life.

At night the main square comes alive and has the most addictive fishing type game. Watch the film below and you’ll see what I mean.

You could easily spend 3 days in Meknes and get lost in the Medina, discovering the best places to eat. As always I recommend the sweet tagine meaning it’s whichever one on the menu that consists of raisons and caramelised onions. My mouth is watering just writing about it!

For any history lovers Meknes is about 45 minutes away from Volubilis and you can get there cheaply by taking the bus just down the hill from the main square. Although if you’re travelling in a group you could share a taxi and possibly make a deal for the driver to take you to Moulay Idriss, Volubilis and back to Meknes. (If not they will definitely do it from Moulay Idriss)

This will be my last film shot in Morocco. I hope you enjoy it!
